Harrison, with a record of 15-1, is making her first appearance in 2023. In her last fight, she suffered her first career loss to Larissa Pacheco at the 2022 PFL Championships. Now, she’s moving back to featherweight, where she previously scored a second-round TKO against Courtney King in November 2020.
Originally slated to fight Budd at the 2022 PFL 6, Harrison faced Kaitlin Young as a replacement and secured a Round 1 TKO victory.
Budd, a former Bellator featherweight champion, has had mixed results in her first four PFL fights but rebounded with a unanimous decision win over Martina Jindrova in June.
The 2023 PFL Championships card now features:
- Larissa Pacheco vs. Marina Mokhnatkina (women’s featherweight final)
- Denis Goltsov vs. Renan Ferreira (heavyweight final)
- Josh Silveira vs. Impa Kasanganay (light heavyweight final)
- Jesus Pinedo vs. Gabriel Braga (featherweight final)
- Julia Budd vs. Kayla Harrison
