The Arizona Cardinals made a move on their practice squad by signing linebacker Tyreek Maddox-Williams. This decision followed a workout session where three linebackers were considered. The signing was officially announced on Wednesday.

This addition to the practice squad comes as safety Jovante Moffatt has been placed on the practice squad injured reserve.

Maddox-Williams spent the previous season with the Los Angeles Chargers, primarily on their practice squad. He initially joined them as an undrafted rookie from Rutgers. Standing at six feet and weighing 228 pounds, he also had a preseason stint with the Philadelphia Eagles.

During his time at Rutgers, Maddox-Williams showcased his skills in 52 games, with 27 of them being starts, over a span of five seasons. His college career statistics include 206 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, nine passes defensed, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
