On a vibrant Saturday morning, numerous west-side schools converged at Kamehameha Schools Hawai‘i for the weekly BIIF boys and girls cross country’s 5k race. Competing were Kealakehe, Hawaii Prep, Konawaena, and Makua Lani.

In the girls’ race, west-side talent shone with Elisa Childers (22:39.84) of Kealakehe taking first place, followed by Bella Dadzie (23:17.28) and Wynter Radey-Morgan (23:17.39) from HPA in second and third.

The girls’ victory belonged to Ka Makani with 32 points. In the boys’ race, Konawaena’s Isaac Keanaaina claimed fourth place overall with a time of 19:16.55, while HPA boys once again led the west-side schools, finishing third overall with a team score of 94.
